Apathy
Loss of motive force; functionally similar to indifference in polarity terms.
Advanced definition
Apathy is the absence of any pull toward either polarity. In this frame it is treated less as a moral failure than as a stalled engine — the choice mechanism itself going quiet.
Law of One context
Sometimes described as the most difficult condition for growth, because catalyst has nothing to push against.
Common misunderstanding
Apathy is not the same as rest. Rest restores motive; apathy hollows it.
Cautions
