Light
The third distortion — the substance through which love takes manifest form.
Also known as
Simple explanation
Light here does not only mean visible light. It is the material out of which experience is built. When love (as orientation) meets intelligent infinity, the result is light — the medium in which densities, bodies, and worlds can appear.
Expanded explanation
Light is the third distortion, following free will and love. If free will is the possibility of differentiation, and love is the creative shaping principle, light is the substance shaped. Together, love and light are sometimes spoken of as love/light or light/love depending on emphasis: love directing light, or light revealing love.
In this material, light is also the medium of energy bodies, of the ray centers (red through violet), and of the densities themselves. Each density is described in part by the qualities of light available within it. As consciousness matures, the relationship to light changes — from survival-level reception to more refined work in the upper centers.
Advanced definition
Law of One context
Light is the building block of densities and of the energy centers. Polarity work, harvest, and the colors of the rays are described in terms of how love and light combine and circulate.
Practical application
A practical use of this concept is in honest self-observation. Notice when your attention is loving but disorganized (love without enough light) and when your attention is precise but cold (light without enough love). Daily life rewards the combination: clear seeing held with care.
Common misunderstanding
"Where is my attention clear but cold, or warm but blurry — and what would it look like to bring them together right now?"
