Third Density

Third density is the level of consciousness humans currently inhabit. Its central work is choice: developing self-awareness, encountering catalyst, and ultimately choosing a polarity (service-to-others, service-to-self, or remaining in the middle).

Third density is described as relatively short compared with other densities but disproportionately important. It is where the Choice is made, and that Choice determines the basic shape of the entity's path through the densities that follow.

Life in third density involves the veil of forgetting: incarnated entities do not normally remember their previous lives or their higher self. This veil is not a failure of design; it is the condition that makes free choice meaningful. Without the veil, choice would be coerced by certainty.

Third density is also the density of relationship: family, romance, friendship, society. Most of the catalyst that drives growth comes through other people. This is why the green-ray center (love) is often the focus of late third-density work.

Earth is described as being in late third density / early fourth density transition. The harvest process is treated extensively in the material and is the source of significant emphasis on the Choice.

Practical third-density work is not exotic. It is the work of relationships, body, livelihood, and the small daily decisions about how to meet other people. Polarity is built moment by moment in these ordinary encounters, not in dramatic spiritual experiences.
