Service-to-SelfPolarityIntermediate

Control

The defining gesture of negative polarity — extending will over others.

Advanced definition

Control is the active reach to make another being's choice match your own. In this study it is treated as the structural signature of the service-to-self path, regardless of how it is dressed.

Law of One context

Contrasted with service: where positive polarity offers and withdraws, control insists and overrides.

Common misunderstanding

Healthy boundaries, parenting, leadership, and safety limits are not control in this technical sense. Control is specifically the overriding of another's will.

Misuse warning

Be honest about subtle control: emotional coercion, guilt, performance of helplessness, and 'spiritual' pressure are all forms of it.

Cautions

  • This is a conceptual study entry, not legal or relational advice. Controlling behavior in real relationships may need real-world support.
For reflection

"Where today did I try to make another person's choice come out a particular way?"
